Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for a wide range of duties related to the construction phase of a project. Including, but not limited to, construction inspection or observation; verification of compliance with contract documents and project and/or client representative.
Responsible for all on-site project coordination, management of resources, and success of the project.
Due to the field nature of this position, applicants must have the ability to travel away from their home location for extended periods of time to work on field assignments.
Prepare contractor pay requests and pay item record keeping.
Assist field staff with writing of requests for information, change orders, and other field/construction administrative duties as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Strong background in construction.
Solid understanding of Owner/Consultant/Contractor communication.
Ability to coordinate with all other field staff for workload and resource balancing.
Familiarity and ability to lead field duties such as:
Worksite traffic control and safety
Public progress meetings
Interim work authorizations
Responses to requests for Information
Strong verbal communicator.
Strong ability to multi-task.
Familiarity of field materials testing and procedures.
Education and/or Experience
Four years or more of similar work experience in the construction management, civil engineering field or equivalent combination of work experience and or related college-level course work.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a valid driver s license and a good driving record.
Professional Engineering license is desirable.
Alaska Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (AK CESCL), or equivalent, certified or ability to become certified is desirable.
American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) or International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Worksite Traffic Supervisor, or equivalent, certification or ability to become certified is desirable.
Basic First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, or ability to become certified, is desirable.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as arithmetic and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions and angular relationships to practical situations.
