As a Director of Product Management, you will work closely with the executives, customers, the market, Marketing, Software Engineers and the Development Team throughout the stages of the product life cycle. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS. This is intended as an outline of the essential functions of the position. Actual metrics that measure job performance are set forth in separate performance management documentation.. Duties and Responsibilities:. Take ownership and manage assigned products through all phases of product life cycle.. Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.. Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners while communicating product capabilities and plans.. Develop product pricing, product marketing, and positioning strategies.. Translate product strategy into detailed business case, marketing requirements, product requirements and prototypes.. Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.. Drive product launches including working with marketing team, executives, and other product management team members.. Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.. Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services.. Research, define, and prioritize product requirements, user cases and design for feature enhancements for existing and new application modules by gathering the needs of prospects, existing customers, competitive market offerings and our overall company strategy.. Take an active role in working with development team(s) to ensure defined user stories are reflected in their technical design as projects are broken down into development sprints.. Perform competitive analysis in determining and prioritizing feature requirements for existing and new products plus provide solution differentiators.. Assist pricing committee with pricing strategy to meet revenue and profitability goals.. Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.. Attend and present ARCOS at key industry trade shows and associated events. Perform speaking engagements or product demonstrations as needed.. Ability to:. Produce and present presentations to both internal and external audiences. Engaging presentation, oral and written communication skills that persuade a roomful of people to share your vision.. Manage other direct reports as needed.. Work well with multiple project teams simultaneously, on a team or work independently.. Work closely with professional services, software architects, and UI designers to document product requirements, write detailed product specifications and use cases that translate high-level requirements into system/functional specifications for the engineering and quality assurance teams.. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, subject matter experts, and software developers.. Skills & Experience:. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology. Master's level degree preferred.. 7-10 years' work experience in product management with SaaS products.. Certification in a Product Management program a plus.. Experience with Work Management, Mobile Workforce, Resource Scheduling and other resource planning processes or applications.. Experience designing, developing, marketing, or supporting SaaS-based enterprise software applications.. Extensive experience with waterfall/SCRUM/Agile or hybrid development processes, with both local and remote engineering teams.. Experience working with business customers, in a sales, consulting, or support capacity.. Results-oriented approach with a can do attitude..
